Job summary

Allegis Group in Pune is seeking a senior Java developer to design, develop and maintain high-quality Java-based applications using Spring Boot and microservices.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement REST APIs, optimize performance, mentor juniors, and participate in CI/CD and agile ceremonies. Experience with SQL databases and cloud/Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java-based applications
• Develop scalable and robust applications using Java, Spring Boot and Microservices architecture.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• Participate in system design discussions, architecture reviews, and technical decision-making.
• Write clean, reusable, and efficient code while following coding standards and best practices.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve production incidents.
• Develop and maintain database objects, queries, and stored procedures using SQL/Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Work closely with DevOps teams for deployment and release activities using CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure application security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing applications and development processes.
