Job summary

Tripstack in India is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our development team. You will design, build, test, and maintain large-scale distributed systems handling hundreds of millions of requests per day.

You should be a problem solver, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid work arrangements are available, with a focus on code quality and reliable production systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Go (Golang) and building large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
• Experience with UNIX/Linux environments and performance trade-offs.
• Proven ownership in delivering results and scalable, high-availability systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Role -

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our development team. You will be responsible for writing code for a large-scale distributed system. We are looking for someone who is a natural problem solver, that is detail-oriented and can work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This role will help with planning, developing, testing, deploying and maintaining our product.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, review, test, and support code for reliable, high-quality systems at scale serving over 250 million requests per day
• Proactively identify technology opportunities for the company, and push technical ideas, proposals, and plans to the entire organization
• Design solutions, get them reviewed, create stories, deliver & maintain
• Promote quality code and drive initiatives
• Work cross-functionally with product managers and other development teams to deliver high quality products and work towards improving our internal KPIs
• Coordinate and monitor regular releases to production
• Participate in on call support rotation and work with the team through incidents impacting our live systems
• Actively mentor the team through interactive code review and knowledge sharing sessions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical field experience
• 4+ years of experience in Golang
• 4+ years of experience and understanding of CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis (time and space)
• 1+ years of experience building large scale, high-performance systems in a complex, multi-tiered, distributed environment
• 4+ years of design and architecture knowledge as well as familiarity with object-oriented analysis and design patterns
• Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results
• Proven track record of designing/architecting scalable, high availability distributed systems that serve internet traffic direct to consumers or businesses at scale (over 100 million requests per day)
• Experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment
• Understanding of performance trade-offs, load balancing and operational issues
• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization

Additional experience that would be considered an asset

• Experience with hybrid Google Cloud Platform/ AWS or other cloud providers & cloud native architecture along with local Data Centre deployments
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CICD tools
• Experience with monitoring dashboard (grafana), alerting, logging, and PCI related work
• Experience with Rust and machine learning principles and deployments
• Experience working on gRPC based solutions
