Job summary

TripStack seeks a Technical Lead on the Content team to architect scalable software ensuring top flight flight search quality. Responsibilities include directing a high-performing agile team, shaping the technical roadmap, mentoring engineers, and balancing feature delivery with technical debt.

You will drive low-latency, fault-tolerant systems, oversee security minded development, and promote a culture of excellence and innovative problem-solving within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years of software development experience with C#, .Net core, javascript, and typescript.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading an agile development team.
• Strong experience leading a mid sized team (7-10) including developers and QA.
• Strong experience in developing and integrating Rest APIs, XML, JSON, SOAP.
• Strong architectural & system design skills.
• Strong data storage experience with databases such as Postgres, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Experience in GCP/AWS is a plus.
• Hands-on experience in driving ambiguous problem areas in existing or new software initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own the development lifecycle from ideation to post production monitoring.
• Guide technical decisions and revisit them as context changes.
• Unblock the team on technical ambiguity quickly and directly.
• Collaborate across teams to remove blockers using existing resources.
• Approve code and designs with minimal architectural rework post-release.
• Ensure code guidelines, secure and defensive coding practices are followed.
• Build scalable, low-latency, fault-tolerant systems tested under load.
• Plan and manage technical debt consciously to prevent pile-ups.
• Monitor, document, and support releases; act as scrum master for the team.
• Improve SDLC and project workflows; foster an inclusive, high-performing culture.
• Promote responsible AI adoption and ensure reviews of AI-assisted work.

Role Overview: As a Technical lead on the Content team, you will architect software that ensures people can find the best flight combinations, as well as making TripStacks software solid and scalable. A successful candidate will thrive in and help lead fast-paced environments that leverage agile planning techniques, encourage and reward creative design and intelligent risk taking, and find innovative ways to leverage cutting edge technology. You will lead a high-performing team to ensure our systems are scalable, low-latency. You will drive the technical roadmap, mentor senior engineers, and balance innovative feature development with technical debt management.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure high quality delivery by owning the development from ideation, planning, design, implementation, quality assurance to post production monitoring.
• Ensure the team's technical decisions are consistently correct, and revisit them when the context changes.
• Unblock the team on technical ambiguity by resolving it quickly and directly.
• Strategize and support the team in unblocking itself using existing company resources and cross team collaboration.
• Author and approve code and designs that rarely require architectural rework after release.
• Ensure the team's solutions follow code guidelines and apply secure and defensive coding practices as a default.
• Build scalable, low-latency, fault-tolerant systems empirically proven through load and stress testing.
• Flag known tradeoffs before they become incidents.
• Track, plan and resolve tech debt consciously so that they dont pile up
• Ensure the team's releases are monitored, documented, and supportable.
• Act as scrum master for the team.
• Improve the SDLC and project workflow for the team and group.
• Create an inclusive environment where every engineer can contribute and be heard.
• Promote team building and a durable team culture.
• Encourage responsible AI adoption within the team.
• Set clear expectations for how AI-assisted work is reviewed before it merges.
• You translate broader business objectives into clear engineering tasks while shielding the team from unnecessary external noise.
• Remove blockers using approved AI tooling.

Requirements:

• 8 to 12 years of experience in software development using C#, .Net core, javascript, and typescript.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading an agile development team.

• Proven experience in solving complex architecture and business problems with solutions that are extensible, simple, and optimal.
• Ability to think in terms of integrating systems and networks as well as programs.
• Strong Experience influencing software engineering best practices within your team, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers with other engineers working under your guidance.
• Experience mentoring software engineers to improve their skills, and making them more effective software engineers.
• Experience in communicating with engineering leadership to understand requirements describing software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
• Experience in system development skills in C#.
• Experience upskilling senior engineers in AI-assisted coding
• Hand-on experience on Prompts
• Proficiency in using AI tools like claude to improve efficiency of SDLC

• Technical ambiguity does not stall the team; decisions are made and communicated quickly.
• Post-release architectural rework, rollbacks or incidents are rare.
