Job summary

Loop Subscriptions in Gurugram, India is seeking a hands-on Tech Lead for backend engineering. You will write, review, and ship production-grade backend code regularly and own architectural decisions for APIs, databases, system design, and infrastructure.

You will own sprint planning, technical scoping, and delivery timelines for your team, mentor 4–5 backend engineers, and partner with Product to translate roadmap priorities into technical execution.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend experience with 1–2 years in a tech lead role.
• Hands-on proficiency in Node.js, Java, Go, Python, or similar.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architecture.
• Strong SQL and database fundamentals; production-scale data handling.
• Experience with AWS and CI/CD practices.
• Proven ability to lead technical delivery and unblock teammates.

Ideal Profile

• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architecture
• Strong SQL and database fundamentals - schema design, query optimization, production-scale data handling
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and CI/CD practices
• Proven ability to lead technical delivery - not just delegate, but actively unblock and contribute
