Peklenc Research comes under YNAPS, a global business group that encompasses diverse ventures such as NGF132 (Featured in Shark Tank India Season-5 ep12) (Sampark.me) with offices in Spain, the USA, and India. We build execution-first products with strong engineering discipline: shipping, reliability, and measurable outcomes. Its a great opportunity to work with leading startup implicating real world impact, and have a career growth unmatched.
About the role
We’re building a multi-tenant, multi-channel logistics operations mobile platform with real-time updates, strict ETA, strict tenant isolation, and production-grade reliability.
What you’ll do (Backend / System Design)
- Convert product requirements into a scalable backend design: data model, APIs, real-time flow, authentication, tenant isolation.
- Build core backend services and integration contracts so frontend can implement smoothly.
- Implement real-time ingestion + delivery flows (authorized users only) with strong reliability under peak usage.
- Design and implement a stable ETA/operations logic layer that balances accuracy, cost, and reliability.
What you’ll do (Shipping / DevOps / Monitoring)
- Own production readiness: CI/CD, environments (dev/staging/prod), secrets/config management, staged rollouts.
- Reliability engineering: rate limits, idempotency, retries/backoff, graceful degradation, rollback plans.
- Performance tuning + load testing for peak windows; ensure stable uptime and fast incident response.
Must-have skills
Core Backend (Senior level)
- 4+ years backend experience building and operating production systems.
- Strong in one backend stack: Node.js (preferred) / Go / Java / Python.
- Database proficiency: Postgres/MySQL and/or NoSQL (Firestore/MongoDB/DynamoDB) with indexing/query awareness.
- Experience with real-time / event-driven patterns (WebSockets/SSE/pub-sub/streams) and systems thinking (latency, fan-out, caching, fallbacks).
- Security fundamentals: RBAC/permissions, rate limiting, abuse prevention, secure onboarding flows.
Shipping / DevOps (hands-on)
- Proven ownership of production releases: deploy + monitoring + incident handling + rollback.
- CI/CD experience: GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Jenkins (any one strong).
- Docker fundamentals for packaging and deploying services.
- Strong in AWS or GCP (either is fine; you can map concepts across): managed compute + managed databases + managed messaging.
- Working knowledge of IaC: Terraform preferred (or equivalent).
- Can ship fast with high quality using modern AI coding tools (coding agents / AI IDE workflows) — not just generating code, but reviewing, testing, debugging, and productionizing AI-assisted changes confidently.
Nice-to-have
- Multi-tenant SaaS experience (tenant isolation done right).
- Caching/messaging: Redis, queues/pubsub (SQS/SNS/EventBridge / GCP PubSub).
- Kubernetes (EKS/GKE) — bonus, not required day-1.
- App release familiarity (Play Store / App Store) — helpful, not required.
What we’ll look for (proof-based)
- You can point to at least one system you personally shipped and operated in production.
- You can explain tradeoffs you made between accuracy vs cost vs reliability.
- You communicate clearly, work independently, and keep production quality high.
Do NOT apply if
- You’ve never owned production release/monitoring/incidents.
- Your experience is limited to simple CRUD apps with no scale/reliability exposure.
- You prefer only assigned tasks and not end-to-end ownership.
