Job summary

NCR Voyix is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead modernization of a Warehouse Management Platform, migrating from AS/400 to modern Go/React architecture. You will design scalable services, mentor engineers, and drive AI-assisted development using tools like Claude and Copilot.

You will contribute to data migrations, microservices, and integration with ERP components, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability across enterprise-grade systems.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of software engineering experience with significant enterprise application development expertise.
• Proven experience modernizing legacy platforms such as AS/400, RPG, COBOL, or other monolithic systems.
• Strong hands-on experience in Go/Golang, React, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, Microservices, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience with large-scale data migration and system integration initiatives.
• Strong understanding of warehouse, supply chain, inventory, or order management systems.
• Experience leveraging AI development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT.

Senior Software Engineer - Legacy Modernization (Warehouse Management Platform)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (3-6 years experience) to work on the modernization of a mission-critical Warehouse Management System from AS/400 to a modern architecture based on React, Go, PostgreSQL, APIs, and microservices. The platform supports end-to-end warehouse operations including receiving, inventory management, picking, packing, shipping, and cycle counting, along with business-critical functions such as Purchase Orders, Sales Orders, Payments, and General Ledger integrations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with deep experience in enterprise modernization, distributed systems, and AI-accelerated software development using tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot.

• Familiarity with AS/400 DB2, RPG, batch processing, and legacy modernization patterns.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, containers, observability, and event-driven systems.
