Job summary

VMware by Broadcom – VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Division is seeking a senior Systems Software Engineer to join the ESXi App Infrastructure team in Bengaluru. You will contribute to design, development, and optimization of core infrastructure components for scalable workloads.

Responsibilities include building and maintaining ESXi user-space services, integrating OSS components, implementing strong security controls, and improving build tooling and debug infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of hands-on systems programming on Unix/Linux.
• Expertise in multi-threaded programming, IPC, synchronization, and OS internals.
• Strong C/C++ skills with production-grade libraries and services.
• Experience with OSS integration and performance optimization.

• Strong proficiency in C and C++, with a proven track record in developing production‑grade system libraries, services, and APIs.
• Experience working with open‑source software and integrating OSS components; upstream contribution is a plus.
• Solid understanding of Unix/Linux user space development and performance optimization techniques.
• Preferred experience with build systems (especially Bazel) and internal developer tooling.
