Job summary

Emerson Japan, Ltd. is seeking a software professional to design and develop secure, scalable applications using C#/.NET and WPF with MVVM.

You will create both high-level and low-level designs that support business and technical requirements. You will architect REST APIs and microservices, implement secure coding practices, establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, and develop automated tests with NUnit or MSTest.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in C#/.NET application development.
• Hands-on experience with WPF and MVVM architecture patterns.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, including SOLID and KISS.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs, web services, and microservices.
• Knowledge of software architecture and scalable application design.
• Experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency with source control and collaboration tools such as Git or TFS.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or equivalent application lifecycle management platforms.
• Knowledge of automated unit testing frameworks such as NUnit or MSTest.
• Understanding of secure software development practices, including secure SDLC methodologies.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts such as OWASP guidelines and vulnerability management.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools to enhance software engineering productivity.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Experience with .NET MAUI and/or Flutter for cross-platform application development.
• Experience leading technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and engineering quality initiatives.
• Demonstrated success mentoring engineers and supporting technical capability development within teams.
