Job summary

Emerson in Maharashtra, India, seeks an experienced leader to drive cross-functional teams across engineering, software, PM, supply chain, and certification. You will align local and global stakeholders to ensure cohesive execution of project and business goals, while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

You will lead talent development, nurture inclusive teams, and manage strategic planning and budgets to support yearly operations and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering.
• 8+ years of leadership experience (engineering, PM, cross-functional teams).
• Proven track record leading cross-functional teams or programs.
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle, systems thinking, and organizational dynamics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Cross-Functional Leadership
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering/software teams, project management, supply chain, product certification etc.
• Facilitate alignment between multidisciplinary teams, local leadership and global product group teams to ensure cohesive execution of project and business goals.
• Serve as a central point of contact and facilitate decision making across teams
• Process & Quality Improvement
• Continuous improvement and development of processes and tools for productivity improvement and quality assurance
• Support a culture of innovation by continuously exploring opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and timeliness through AI-enabled solutions.

• Develop and implement strategies towards talent development and aligning to the vision of global product group
• Identify and implement plans for technical competency development at EICP
• Attract, develop, appraise, and retain qualified and skilled talent.

• Actively participate in and implement the group level resource planning process
• Develop and manage budget to fund yearly operations and infrastructure, talent development

For This Role, You Will Need

• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering
• 8+ years of experience in leadership (including engineering, project management, cross functional team management)
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams or programs.
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle, systems thinking, and organizational dynamics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart

• Experience leading and executing engineering project teams that develop new products
• Experience with Stage gated development processes
• Experience with Agile Product Development, e.g., SCRUM, TDD, XP
• Knowledge and experience of New Product Development staged gate processes
• Experience in high-growth, product-driven companies.
• Experience working with remote or globally distributed teams
