Job summary

Tekskills Inc. seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and run highly available systems in Kubernetes-based environments. The role requires 6–10 years of relevant experience and strong Python automation skills.

You will define SLOs/SLIs, lead incident responses, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating across engineering teams. Preference for GCP or AWS and Kubernetes (GKE) expertise with Helm and Docker.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of experience in SRE/DevOps or reliability engineering.
• Strong Python skills for automation and tooling.
• Proven experience with cloud providers, Kubernetes, and observability.
• Ability to lead incident responses and RCA exercises.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available and resilient systems in Kubernetes-based environments
• Define and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets
• Lead incident response, RCA, and postmortems
• Drive reliability improvements through automation
• Architect and operate observability platforms for metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting
• Work with Prometheus, Alertmanager, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Loki / ELK / OpenSearch
• Implement cloud-native monitoring (GCP Cloud Monitoring & Logging preferred)
• Establish actionable alerting standards
• Build and manage infrastructure on GCP (preferred) or AWS
• Operate Kubernetes clusters (GKE preferred)
• Deploy services using Helm
• Manage containerized workloads using Docker
• Strong Python skills with emphasis on reliability, automation, and observability tooling
• Develop automation and tooling using Python
• Create internal reliability and monitoring tools
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines with observability and reliability checks
• Mentor junior engineers
• Influence architecture decisions
