Induct Hr Solutions is seeking a hands-on Senior Telecom Platform Engineer to lead our SIP signaling, media, and routing infrastructure from a coding and operations perspective.

You will own signaling and media paths, guide the telecom team, and influence architectural decisions while staying deep in implementation details.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on experience operating production-grade open-source SIP infrastructure (Kamailio/OpenSIPS).
• Strong knowledge of SIP, RTP, VoIP and telecom networking including NAT traversal and codecs.
• Experience with SIP traffic generation and load testing using SIPp or similar.
• Strong Linux and network troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to write Kamailio routing logic and supporting services.
• Track record of technical ownership and sound architectural judgment on production systems.
• Hands-on RTPengine or rtpproxy experience; SIP trunking and carrier integration.

Responsabilités

• Drive performance optimization and capacity improvements for signaling and media paths.
• Collaborate with SRE to improve availability, scalability, and observability of the telecom layer.
• Design and run SIP traffic, capacity, and load testing (SIPp or similar).
• Mentor engineers on the Telecom Platform team and build deeper telecom expertise.

About the Role

This is a hands-on senior engineering role leading the Telecom Platform team, reporting to the Senior Principal Engineer. You will take strong technical ownership of SIP signaling, media, and routing infrastructure, guide the engineers on the team, and contribute to architectural decisions on this layer, while staying deep in the systems yourself.

This is a coding role as much as an operations role. You will write and review routing logic and the services around the core platform, not only configure and operate it.

What You'll Do

• - Own and evolve highly available SIP/VoIP infrastructure: signaling (Kamailio), media (RTPengine), call routing, and the telecom services around them.
• - Own triage during production escalations and lead root-cause investigation of complex issues across SIP signaling, RTP and media flows, NAT traversal, and carrier interoperability.
• - Drive performance optimization across the signaling and media paths, and capacity improvements as we grow call volume and expand into new markets.
• - Work with the SRE team on improving availability, scalability, and observability of the telecom layer, including SIP capture and monitoring, metrics, and alerting.
• - Design and run SIP traffic, capacity, and load testing (SIPp or similar) to validate system behavior under load.
• - Lead and mentor the engineers on the Telecom Platform team and build deeper telecom expertise across engineering.

What You'll Bring

Required

• - Deep hands-on experience operating production-grade open-source SIP infrastructure: Kamailio or OpenSIPS, with Kamailio preferred.
• - Strong practical command of SIP, RTP, VoIP, and telecom networking, including NAT traversal and codec behavior.
• - Experience with SIP traffic generation and performance and load testing using SIPp or similar tools.
• - Strong Linux and network troubleshooting skills.
• - Ability to write code, not just configuration: Kamailio routing logic (native scripting or KEMI) and supporting services.
• - A track record of technical ownership and sound architectural judgment on production systems.

Strongly Preferred

• - Hands-on RTPengine experience, or rtpproxy or a comparable media relay.
• - SIP trunking and carrier integration experience. We integrate with multiple carriers across all the regions we operate in.

Good to Have

• - Asterisk or FreeSWITCH experience.
• - HOMER or similar SIP monitoring and troubleshooting tooling.
• - Large-scale or multi-region telecom systems.
• - NATS, Redis, or distributed messaging systems.
• - Exposure to real-time voice AI, media streaming, or speech pipelines.

Logistics

• - Location: Trivandrum. This is a full-time, office-based role.
• - On-call: no rotation, but on-call availability is required for escalations.
