Job summary

HLE Glascoat Limited in Anand, Gujarat, seeks a Senior Simulation Engineer (CFD & FEA) for its R&D team to drive advanced simulations on chemical process equipment. The candidate will lead CFD/FEA studies, optimize agitators and mixing systems, and translate results into validated, manufacturable designs.

The role demands 4–6 years of industrial CFD/FEA experience, strong fundamentals, and proficiency in COMSOL, ANSYS, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

  • M.E./M.Tech with 4–8 years of experience in CFD/FEA, preferably in process equipment, pressure vessels, or related engineering industries.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals in Fluid Mechanics, Heat & Mass Transfer, Transport Phenomena, Mixing Technology, Structural Mechanics and Numerical Methods, with the ability to apply first-principles thinking to solve complex industrial problems.
  • Demonstrated track record of using simulation to solve real-world engineering challenges and converting analytical insights into practical, validated engineering solutions.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented and passionate about engineering excellence, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to independently plan, execute and deliver R&D and simulation projects while effectively managing priorities, timelines, risks and cross-functional coordination.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Design, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality and Customer Support teams.
  • Exposure to experimental validation, prototype development, or product testing will be an added advantage.
  • Proficient with COMSOL Multiphysics, ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS Mechanical, M-Star CFD, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent simulation and CAD tools.
  • Good academic background with publications, patents, or technical research contributions will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead simulation-driven research and development for new and existing Chemical Process Equipment.
  • Develop and optimize Chemical Process Equipment using CFD and FEA.
  • Design and optimize agitators and mixing systems for liquid-liquid, solid-liquid, gas-liquid and multiphase applications.
  • Perform engineering analysis related to mixing, heat transfer, reaction processes, flow behaviour, structural performance, vibration and thermal stresses.
  • Develop customized engineering solutions based on customer applications and emerging industry requirements.
  • Investigate customer and manufacturing challenges through simulation, root-cause analysis and engineering validation.
  • Validate simulation results through engineering calculations, experimental studies and field performance wherever applicable.
  • Translate simulation outcomes into practical, reliable and manufacturable design improvements.
  • Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation and design recommendations for R&D projects.
  • Support manufacturing during product development and commercialization by resolving technical and design-related challenges.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Design, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Quality and Commercial teams to develop innovative products and technologies.
  • Stay updated with advancements in simulation methodologies, materials, manufacturing processes and mixing technologies to drive continuous innovation.

Role Overview
