Job summary

Mojito Labs, a web development shop with offices in Gurgaon, is seeking a Senior Shopify Developer to design, build, and maintain Shopify-based e-commerce sites from on-site Gurgaon. You will create custom themes, optimize apps, and integrate third-party services while ensuring performance and conversion goals.

The role requires collaboration with designers, PMs, and other developers. The ideal candidate has strong Shopify, HTML/CSS/JS, and API experience, plus a background in e-commerce

Qualifications

• Strong Shopify development skills, including custom theme creation and Liquid templates.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Shopify customization frameworks.
• Experience integrating payment gateways, apps, and RESTful APIs in Shopify environments.
• Background in e-commerce optimization, including performance tuning, SEO best practices, and conversion-focused UX.
• Ability to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and document implementation details clearly.
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to debug complex issues across the stack.
• Comfort mentoring junior developers, reviewing code, and contributing to development standards and processes.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams on-site.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous experience in an agency or product-focused environment, especially working with startups, is a plus.

Role Description

The Senior Shopify Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Shopify-based e-commerce websites for clients, with a focus on performance, usability, and conversion.
