Job summary

Siemens Energy in India invites a Senior Scrum Master to lead two Agile software teams within the Fleet Operations Management Applications portfolio. You will facilitate ceremonies, coach on SAFe, and partner with Product Owners to refine backlogs and improve delivery predictability.

You will remove impediments, track metrics, and foster psychological safety, driving continuous improvement and collaboration across an international, cross-functional engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives for multiple software development teams.
• Coach and mentor teams on Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe practices, enabling stronger self-organization and delivery excellence.
• Proactively identify, track, and remove impediments that could impact sprint commitments and project milestones.
• Partner with Product Owners to maintain a prioritized, refined, and value-driven product backlog.
• Coordinate cross-team collaboration and dependency management to ensure seamless delivery across the Fleet Operations Management Applications organization.
• Communicate delivery status, risks, velocity trends, and performance metrics to stakeholders and engineering leadership.
• Establish, monitor, and analyze Agile metrics including Velocity, Burndown, Cycle Time, and Cumulative Flow to drive continuous improvement.
• Foster an environment of psychological safety, transparency, learning, and constructive feedback.
• Support release planning and contribute to the ongoing improvement of Agile processes and team effectiveness.

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Senior Scrum Master, you will lead and support two Agile software development teams, ensuring smooth delivery execution while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Your day will involve facilitating Scrum ceremonies, coaching team members on Agile principles, and working closely with Product Owners to align priorities with business objectives.

You will proactively identify and remove impediments, manage cross-team dependencies, and provide transparency into delivery progress, risks, and performance metrics. Working in an international environment, you will help teams optimize their Agile practices, improve predictability, and consistently deliver high-quality digital solutions that support Siemens Energy's Fleet Operations Management Applications portfolio.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in software development environments.
• Minimum 4 years of dedicated experience as a Scrum Master supporting multiple Agile teams.
• Proven experience facilitating Agile delivery within global and cross-functional software engineering organizations.
• Hands‑on experience working in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments is preferred.
• Strong coaching, facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities while driving delivery predictability and team performance.

Certifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM II).
• PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and/or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM).
