Job summary

Gallagher is seeking a Salesforce Senior Developer to architect, design, and implement solutions on the force.com platform. You will work across Apex, LWC, integrations, and automation to align business processes with Salesforce services.

You will collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions and mentor junior engineers while ensuring best practices and security. This role focuses on impactful, enterprise-grade Salesforce development within Gallagher's environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Apex (Triggers, Async Apex, Batch, Queueable) with focus on high-performance, bulkified logic.
• Expert-level experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC), modern JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Expertise in Salesforce Flows and declarative automation for hybrid solutions.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce Data Model, SOQL/SOSL optimization, and security model.
• Experience building and consuming REST/SOAP APIs and middleware like MuleSoft.
• Familiar with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (SFDX, Git, Copado, Gearset).
• Hands-on experience using Agentforce and prompt engineering for automation.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and support Salesforce solutions across Gallagher environments.
• Lead as Salesforce platform expert guiding best practices and core capabilities.
• Develop Apex classes/triggers and Visualforce UI as required.
• Create UI with LWC and Aura components for rich user experiences.

Overview

Our organization continues to grow, and as part of that, we’re planning to hire an additional Sr Salesforce Developer to add to our talented team. In this role, you will learn the Gallagher business environment and how Salesforce is being used to align business processes to the force.com platform.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include to architect, design, develop, and support new and existing solutions on the Gallagher Salesforce environments. You will operate as a Salesforce platform expert and guide Gallagher to apply best practices and leverage its core capabilities. With a broad technical background, you should be comfortable discussing and demonstrating all aspects of the force.com platform including security and declarative/programmatic extensions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as a Salesforce Application Developer collaborating with customers on the planning, documenting, developing, and implementing of projects.
• Develop Apex (classes and triggers) and maintain existing Visualforce based on specific requirements to implement and support business requirements.
• Development of custom User Interface using Lightning Web Components, Aura Components.
• Use Salesforce APIs to integrate with other systems used in the organization.
• Integrating and maintaining business applications to Salesforce, such as Azure Data Factory, PowerBI, AMS/MDM Solutions.
• Collaborate with the Salesforce Systems Administrator on all projects to determine the optimal technical solutions leveraging the Salesforce platform.
• Provide Salesforce technical leadership for onshore and offshore teams of software and quality engineers.
• Communicate with other team members and internal users regarding project status, technical issues, and creative solutions.
• Work as a member of a project team building new functionality and enhancing existing functionality.
• Provide insight into AppExchange products and other technologies that may be effectively leveraged for use within AJG.
• Communicate and enforces coding standards.
• Perform debugging and issue resolution with new and existing code.

Technical Requirements (Hands-on Required)

• Apex & Backend Development: Advanced proficiency in Apex (Triggers, Async Apex, Batch, Queueable) with a strong focus on building high-performance, bulkified, and scalable enterprise logic.
• LWC: Expert-level experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC), including modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and efficient state management.
• Declarative Process Automation: Expertise in Salesforce Flows (Record-triggered, Orchestrator, Screen Flows) and the ability to design hybrid solutions that balance "Flow-First" strategies with Apex.
• Data Architecture & Security: Strong understanding of the Salesforce Data Model, SOQL/SOSL optimization, and the Sharing/Security model (Permission Set Groups, Restriction Rules, Field-Level Security).
• Integration & APIs: Proven experience building and consuming REST/SOAP APIs, Event-Driven Architecture (Platform Events, Change Data Capture), and familiarity with MuleSoft or similar middleware.
• DevOps & Tooling: Salesforce CLI (SFDX), version control (Git), and automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD tools like Copado, Gearset, or GitHub Actions).
• AI & Agentforce: Hands-on experience building and orchestrating solutions using Agentforce; with proficiency in Prompt Engineering.
