Ingersoll Rand Inc. is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to drive sales across the Eastern region of India, including West Bengal and neighboring states.

The role is hybrid, requiring field visits and coordination with channel partners and OEMs to achieve turnover and profitability goals. The ideal candidate will have a BE/BTech in Mechanical with 4–8 years of sales experience in industrial solutions, strong negotiation skills, and fluency in English and Hindi.

• Experience selling to industrial/end users in Eastern India.

Responsibilities

• Explore new customers and markets in the Eastern region.

• Prepare weekly visit plans and monthly sales projections.
• Support after-sales and coordinate with service team.

Job Summary

Responsible for managing the sales in Eastern region – India (West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Jharkhand, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura). This will include the management of key end customers, OEM’s and specialist channel partners. The incumbent in this role will be expected to work under the supervision / guidance of west business in charge towards defined key goals including Sales turnover, profitability, new product growth and key territory growth.

Responsibilities

• To explore new customers, applications and markets.
• Understand the application process and generate new inquiries for Blowers.
• Provide techno- commercial support to all the customers.
• Handle & Supervise channel partners and customers in West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Jharkhand, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura and expand the business through channels.
• Prepare weekly visit plans with a view to serving all the existing customers and to adding new customers to the portfolio.
• Prepare monthly sales projections in view of annual sales targets.
• To retain all the existing customers and focus on generating more revenue from them.
• To provide after-sales support to the customers in close coordination with the service team.
• Keep close eye on the competitor’s activities and develop & implement sound strategy to counter competition

Basic Qualifications

• BE/ B-Tech- Mechanical.
• 4-8 yrs experience in sales and marketing in water and wastewater segment.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Hybrid – covering the Eastern Region of India

• A Sales & Business Development Professional, preferably holding a degree in BE or B-Tech (Mechanical engineers will be preferred).
• 4-8 years’ experience of selling, preferably working for companies within the Industrial manufactured products sales vertically.
• Will demonstrate a sound understanding of the Industrial Sales market in West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Jharkhand states customers as well as the key issues affecting the markets. Will also have demonstrable experience in working with these markets and a deep understanding of the decision-making process and the complex nature of the major projects.
• Must be strong in Negotiation with Customers.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Hindi is essential.
• A high degree of competence in presentation and customer handling is required.
• Must have sound knowledge of MS. Office
• Must be comfortable with CRM tools like ZOHO, Salesforce etc.
