Overview

This role will be accountable for driving the credit policy decisions across the customer life cycle as well as driving the Lending Portfolio P&L KPIs by balancing acceptable risk performance with top line revenue targets and finding expansion opportunities across partner customer segments (banks and telcos).

Responsibilities

• Portfolio Strategy & Credit Policy: Develop credit strategy to drive the GTM strategy, customer eligibility and limit/exposure decisions through the customer loan life cycle using telecom, wallet, bureau data, and mobile app.
• Develop and optimize the customer journey and ongoing communication to drive usage, credit education and repayment across multiple digital channels (Mobile App, SMS, USSD, OBD).
• Work with external debt collection agencies and optimize direct debit rules to drive collection effectiveness for delinquent customer segments and optimize collection offers.
• Build a framework for measuring periodic performance of existing strategies.
• Portfolio Monitoring & Governance: Develop portfolio tracking metrics and design reports leveraging the existing tech team.
• Monitoring PDD MIS, follow-up for pending PDDs, and keeping PDD pendency within acceptable limits.
• Coordination with partner team for due/overdue PDD process. Propose and implement solutions to keep the portfolio healthy by interfacing data science, product and business operations teams.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Knowledge of scorecards, credit policies and risk management in an unsecured context
• Hands-on experience as a data driven strategy/policy analyst for more than 1 year
• Good analytical thought process and aptitude for problem solving; hands-on experience using SQL, Python and PySpark SQL (Big Data Hadoop/Spark Stack) preferred
• Passion for using data and algorithms to drive underwriting decisions; previous exposure to ML algorithms
• Strong entrepreneurial drive
• Premier educational background strongly preferred (technical, engineering discipline)
