Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise India Private Limited in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer to design and implement robust automation for web applications and APIs. You will review requirements, create comprehensive test plans, and coordinate testing across teams while maintaining regression discipline and evolving testing processes.

The role requires deep experience with Selenium, SoapUI, Python, and PyCharm, plus strong SQL skills and Agile/Scrum experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline.
• Master’s desirable.
• 9+ years experience.

Responsibilities

• Automation of features for web applications and Web APIs.
• Familiarity with testing and testing life cycle.
• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well‑structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open‑source tools.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet requirements.
• Monitor debugging process results.
• Investigate the causes of non‑conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
• Stay up‑to‑date with new testing tools and test strategies.

What You’ll Do:

• Automation of features for web applications and Web APIs

Whar You Need to Bring:

• Should have 9 to 12 years of experience in testing and Minimum 3+ years in Automation.
• Must have experience with automated testing tools like Selenium, SoapUI, Python and must have knowledge on Pycharm.
• Proven work experience in software development and software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands‑on experience with both white box and black box testing.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline. Master’s desirable. Typically, 9+ years experience.
