Job summary

Indexnine Technologies in Pune, India is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to design and maintain robust automated tests for web apps and REST APIs using Cypress, Playwright or Selenium. You will build reusable test frameworks, implement CI/CD integrations, and ensure reliable test execution across environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automation coding using Cypress/Playwright/Selenium from scratch.
• Independent API testing with Postman or REST Assured.
• Experience managing test scripts via Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to find negative scenarios, security gaps and edge cases.
• Own Jira defect lifecycle with clear reproduction steps and logs.

API Proficiency: Independently tests REST APIs, validates JSON payloads, and verifies backend data states using Postman or REST Assured.

CI/CD & Git Literacy: Confidently manages test scripts via Git and easily executes or debugs test suites within CI/CD pipelines.

Exploratory Thinking: Proactively hunts for negative scenarios, security gaps, and complex edge cases that developers didn't anticipate.

Bug Lifecycle Ownership: Writes airtight Jira tickets with precise reproduction steps and network logs, collaborating closely with devs until resolved.
