Job summary

Varroc in Maharashtra, India, is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to oversee final inspection and in-process quality for Engine Valves. You will ensure FI quality targets, utilize 7QC tools and perform root-cause analysis (why-why, fishbone) to prevent defects.

You will implement CAPA via 8D methodology, conduct internal audits (product/process/system), and coordinate with customers to close gaps and drive continuous improvement. Prior experience in automotive QA preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in FI and in-process quality using 7QC tools; perform RCA with why-why and fishbone analysis.
• Proficient in CAPA processes and using 8D methodology.
• Experience planning and conducting internal audits: product, process, system and supplier audits.
• Ability to coordinate with management and customers for regular audits and gap closure.

Responsibilities

• Final inspection and in-process quality of engine valves, focusing on dimensional and cosmetic aspects.
• Target FI and in-process quality using 7QC tools; perform RCA (why-why) and fishbone analysis.
• Apply FTA, statistical tools and 4M/4T conditions.
• Create audit plans and conduct regular audits with management and clients (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Plan and conduct internal audits: product, process, system, and supplier audits.
• Coordinate customer audits.
• Close gaps with corrective and preventive actions.
• Organize MRM (Management Review Meetings), track inputs/outputs and actions.
• Maintain customer complaint register and advocate customer requirements.
• Handle customer quality issues, attend complaints and analyze root causes with customers.
• Act as customer-quality representative and handle issues at the customer end.
• Maintain CAPA system including why-why analysis and 8D methodology.
