Job summary

Delta Technology Hub in Bengaluru seeks a Senior SDET to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our mobile applications (iOS and/or Android). You will design and build automated test frameworks, execute test strategies, and collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams.

Responsibilities include developing automated frameworks, creating scalable test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing, plus manual exploratory testing when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in QA/SDET, mobile app testing preferred.
• Strong programming skills: .NET, Kotlin, Swift, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with mobile automation tools Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, WebdriverIO.
• Familiar with TestNG/JUnit/Mocha and API testing tools.

About The Team /role Overview

The Senior SDET at DTH Virgin Atlantic team will ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of our mobile applications (iOS and/or Android).

As a Senior SDET, you will design and build automated test frameworks, execute test strategies, and collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for mobile applications
• Write scalable and reusable test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing
• Perform manual testing when needed, especially exploratory and edge-case scenarios
• Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and quality of features
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools like Jira
• Conduct API testing and backend validation (REST/GraphQL)
• Execute performance, usability, and security testing for mobile apps
• Ensure cross-device and cross-OS compatibility (different screen sizes, OS versions)
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to quality engineering best practices

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of experience in QA/SDET, preferably in mobile application testing
• Strong programming skills in one or more: .NET, Kotlin, Swift, Python, or JavaScript
• Experience with mobile automation tools such as:
  • Appium
  • Espresso (Android)
  • XCUITest (iOS)
  • WebdriverIO
• Familiarity with test frameworks (TestNG, JUnit, Mocha, etc.)
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured)
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and version control (Git)
• Understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC

• Knowledge of cloud device farms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, Firebase Test Lab)
• Experience in performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum environments
• Familiarity with mobile analytics and crash reporting tools (Firebase Crashlytics)
