Job summary

Delta Technology Hub is seeking a seasoned AI/ML engineer in Bengaluru to translate ambiguous requirements into production-grade AI services. You will design and deploy AI workflows, integrating with enterprise systems and cloud environments while ensuring safety and scalability.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, artificial intelligence, or a related field.
• Experience designing multi-step, agentic, or event-driven AI workflows.
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, enterprise search, document ingestion, vector search, or knowledge-management solutions.
• Experience with conversational AI, real-time voice, streaming, speech-to-text, or text-to-speech systems.
• Experience with model and AI application observability, evaluation platforms, experimentation, or quality monitoring.
• Experience with asynchronous processing, distributed systems, messaging, relational or NoSQL databases, and caching technologies.
• Familiarity with traditional machine-learning or deep-learning libraries where relevant to the use case.
• Experience applying guardrails, content-safety controls, prompt-injection protections, and sensitive-data handling to AI applications.
• Experience integrating AI products with enterprise platforms and third-party services.
• Experience leading technical delivery, mentoring engineers, or establishing engineering standards.
• Knowledge of airline, travel, retail, customer-service, or another complex customer-facing domain.

Responsibilities

• Translate opportunities and ambiguous requirements into well-defined AI or ML problems.

• Build solutions using generative AI, NLP, retrieval, classification, prediction, recommendation, or optimisation.
• Develop AI workflows including prompting, tool use, agent orchestration, search, and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Create data ingestion, preparation, indexing, retrieval, and model-serving pipelines.
• Define evaluation approaches using datasets, automated tests, quality metrics, and business outcomes.
• Implement safety, security, privacy, and responsible-AI controls for data protection and model behavior.
• Deploy, monitor, and support AI solutions in cloud environments with scalability and cost considerations.
• Investigate production issues via logs and metrics to drive improvements.
• Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise systems and external services.
• Contribute to architecture, documentation, code reviews, testing standards, and CI/CD practices.
• Communicate assumptions, risks, and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor engineers and promote continuous learning across AI and engineering teams.
• Develop domain understanding of airline and travel to support customers and operations.

• Work with business and technology stakeholders to translate opportunities and ambiguous requirements into well-defined AI or machine-learning problems.
• Design and develop production-grade AI services, APIs, microservices, and integrations using sound software engineering principles.
• Build solutions using appropriate techniques such as generative AI, natural language processing, retrieval, classification, prediction, recommendation, or optimisation.
• Develop AI application workflows that may include prompting, structured outputs, tool use, agent orchestration, search, retrieval-augmented generation, and conversational context.
• Create and maintain data ingestion, preparation, indexing, retrieval, and model-serving pipelines where required.
• Define evaluation approaches using representative datasets, automated tests, quality metrics, human review, and business outcomes.
• Implement appropriate safety, security, privacy, and responsible-AI controls, including protections for sensitive data and unreliable or harmful model behaviour.
• Deploy, monitor, and support AI solutions in cloud environments, balancing quality, reliability, latency, scalability, and cost.
• Investigate production issues using logs, traces, metrics, evaluation results, and user feedback, and drive improvements through the full product lifecycle.
• Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise systems, external services, and existing technology platforms.
• Contribute to architecture, technical documentation, code reviews, testing standards, CI/CD practices, and reusable engineering patterns.
