Job summary

Options Executive Search Pvt Ltd is seeking a seasoned QA Engineer to join a high-visibility, product-focused team in Pune. You will own end-to-end quality from test planning to defect verification, testing web and cloud applications that interact with 3D models and geospatial data.

The role requires 5+ years of manual QA experience, strong English communication, and hands-on use of Jira and a test management tool (X-Ray, TestRail, or Zephyr) within Agile/Scrum environments.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree (B.A. / B.Sc.) in a relevant discipline; software testing certification preferred.
• 5+ years of manual software QA testing experience on web and/or cloud applications.
• Proven ability to independently write and execute STP and STD from specifications, and deliver clear STR.
• Solid experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and at least one dedicated test management tool - X-Ray, TestRail, Zephyr, or equivalent.
• Excellent written and spoken English - both for technical documentation and cross-team communication.
• Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and patience.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop test plans (STP) and test descriptions (STD) based on product requirements, and produce clear software test reports (STR).
• Execute manual tests for web and cloud applications - including those rendering 3D models, maps, and images.
• Participate actively within Agile sprints - attending ceremonies, contributing to quality across the full development lifecycle.
• Identify, document, and track defects end-to-end; work directly with developers on fix verification.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test coverage, and team quality standards.
• Develop broad exposure to multiple software technologies and apply this knowledge in testing.

Job Description

Our client is a globally funded product company with a growing engineering center in Pune. The company builds an autonomous software platform that digitizes physical infrastructure assets - such as telecom towers and energy installations - into 3D digital twins, and delivers cloud-based analytics and insights to Tier-1 enterprises across telecom, energy, and infrastructure sectors worldwide.

The company has raised significant funding from global institutional investors and strategic industry players, and operates across the US, Europe, LATAM, and Asia. Their clients include some of the world's largest telecom operators, construction conglomerates, and tower companies.

The Role

This is a high-visibility individual contributor role embedded within a small, cross-functional Agile product team. You will own quality end-to-end - from writing test plans against product specifications to executing tests, managing defects, and verifying fixes directly with developers. The work is technically rich: you will be testing web and cloud applications that interact with 3D models, maps, and image data - a challenging and specialized testing environment.
