About The Role

The Senior Quality Test Analyst II position in Quality Assurance is responsible for leading or participating in testing of systems. This position works with management to enhance quality and process standards and to plan and execute effective and efficient test approaches to accomplish on-time and efficient delivery of high-quality software products and/or data. This position will usually have a diversified understanding of QA testing including different testing methodologies, legacy products, and new innovation/acquisition products.

Responsibilities
Technical Excellence
  • Serve as the SME for Quality Assurance and Test Automation best practices across the BAU Team.
  • Configure, maintain, and administer testing tools, frameworks, and environments.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to design and enhance testing systems, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Lead and contribute to technical discussions, communities of practice, and solution investigations.
  • Design continuous testing practices to validate OLA/SLA targets and support long‑term product sustainment.
  • Ensure test plans and designs are robust, fault‑tolerant, scalable, and meet technical standards.
  • Challenge existing processes to improve productivity, quality, and maintainability of systems.
  • Design and execute accessibility testing strategies aligned with WCAG standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1 AA), ensuring inclusive, compliant user experiences across platforms.
  • Apply testing practices suitable for highly integrated, distributed systems, including validation across multiple upstream/downstream dependencies, third‑party services, and event‑driven architectures.
  • Ensure testing approaches account for cross‑system impacts, data consistency, and contract compatibility in complex integration landscapes.
Operational Excellence
  • Plan and execute manual, automated and performance tests with QA staff, project managers, technical leads, and SMEs.
  • Monitor production services for availability, responsiveness, and user performance.
  • Report issues and results, performing research and root‑cause analysis with thorough documentation.
  • Partner with architects, developers, and system engineers to identify and resolve performance issues.
  • Ensure corrective actions address underlying root causes and support long‑term stability.
  • Audit testing strategies across delivery teams to ensure appropriate test coverage and safe deployment practices.
  • Enhance test planning, defect tracking, metrics, and reporting methodologies.
  • Plan and execute testing across highly integrated environments, coordinating with multiple delivery teams to validate end‑to‑end workflows and system interoperability.
  • Perform accessibility validation as part of functional, regression, and release testing to ensure ongoing compliance and usability.
  • Maintain clear traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and releases using test management tools.
Product Delivery & Business Impact
  • Develop and execute automated and performance testing to enable consistent, high‑quality product and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with Product, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations to align testing with product requirements and quality standards.
  • Conduct project reviews and ensure criteria are defined to safeguard quality of deliverables.
  • Work across teams to build strong, consistent testing and automation practices throughout the business.
  • Research and analyse emerging AI driven practices and technologies, providing recommendations to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Validate product designs and test plans to ensure alignment with technical, functional, and business requirements.
  • Support the technical roadmap through insights on tools, practices, and platform evolution.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead by example, consistently delivering high standards of quality and influencing teams positively.
  • Provide training and support to team members and partners on QA best practices, automation, and process improvements.
  • Build strong working relationships to improve collaboration, efficiency, and team satisfaction.
  • Help remove blockers, resolve issues, and highlight risks impacting teams and delivery.
  • Communicate clearly and adapt messaging to suit different audiences and contexts.
  • Influence teams through data‑driven insights, strong communication, and well‑prepared guidance or presentations.
  • Maintain approachability and foster trust, even under challenging circumstances.
Requirements
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Quality Test Engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, process improvement, and the software development process.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication; strong research and root‑cause analysis skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute complex automated and performance testing.
  • Experience administering testing tools and environments.
  • Basic understanding of working within budgets and awareness of industry trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate process improvements and enhance test methodologies and reporting/metrics.
Technical Skills
  • Practical knowledge of continuous testing practices (TDD/BDD, integration and contract testing).
  • Experience with performance and scalability testing (e.g., Gatling).
  • Experience with security testing, Real User Monitoring (RUM), and instrumentation including logging, monitoring, alerting, metrics, and health checks.
  • Familiarity with Report Portal.
  • Working proficiency with C#/.NET Core, JavaScript, GraphQL, and RESTful APIs.
  • Data experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL datastores.
  • Hands‑on experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, GitHub, GitHub Actions, ProGet, SonarQube, and WebPageTest.
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and a security‑ and privacy‑by‑design mindset.
  • Cloud experience with AWS services including Lambda, S3, and EC2.
