Qualificações

• 4+ years in Test Automation or Quality Engineering with hands-on framework development.
• Hands-on with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium.
• Software development experience at some point in career.
• Strong API testing and microservices understanding.
• Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, messaging systems, and asynchronous workflows.
• CI/CD integration experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native environments.
• Familiarity with Kafka/RabbitMQ, Redis, and databases.
• Experience with performance testing tools (k6, JMeter, Gatling).
• Observability/monitoring tools like Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus.

The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and hands‑on Senior Automation Engineer / Senior SDET to build scalable automation solutions and drive quality engineering practices across enterprise applications and modern distributed systems.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about automation, engineering excellence, developer productivity, and modern testing practices in fast-paced Agile environments. You will work closely with engineering, DevOps, product, and platform teams to ensure high-quality software delivery through automation-first and AI-assisted quality engineering approaches.

We are a small, high-ownership engineering team. What you build here will directly shape the reliability and velocity of zenda's platform as we scale across new markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks across web, mobile, APIs, and microservices
• Drive automation coverage across functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
• Test APIs, microservices, and distributed/event-driven systems, including contract and integration validation
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot pipeline failures
• Support performance, load, and reliability testing for enterprise applications
• Leverage AI-assisted testing tools to improve test effectiveness and reduce manual effort
• Contribute to engineering best practices and mentor junior automation engineers

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Test Automation, Software Testing, or Quality Engineering, with strong hands‑on experience building and maintaining automation frameworks
• Hands‑on experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Appium, or equivalent
• Must have hands‑on software development experience at some point in your career.
• Strong understanding of API testing, microservices, distributed systems, and modern application architectures
• Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, messaging systems, and asynchronous workflows
• Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud‑native environments
• Familiarity with Kafka/RabbitMQ, Redis, and relational/non‑relational databases
• Experience with performance testing tools such as k6, JMeter, or Gatling
• Understanding of observability and monitoring tools such as Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus, or OpenTelemetry
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills; excellent communication and collaboration skills
