Job summary

Gallagher in India is seeking a Senior SQA Engineer to design and execute advanced testing strategies, build scalable automation frameworks, and ensure software reliability across platforms. You will collaborate with development teams, contribute to CI/CD efforts, and drive quality improvements through expertise in testing tools, coding, and agile practices.

Ideal candidates have 4–8 years of QA experience, strong skills in Java, Python, SQL, and automation frameworks, and a passion for solving

• Strong knowledge of automation testing and frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD and agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust test automation frameworks.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend systems.
• Perform deep functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and quality in code.
• Conduct root cause analysis and provide detailed defect reports.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Validate data integrity through database testing using SQL/DB2.
• Participate in code reviews and provide QA feedback.
• Execute security and compatibility testing across platforms.
• Maintain test documentation and contribute to QA process improvements.

Overview

A technically proficient quality assurance professional responsible for designing and executing advanced testing strategies, building scalable automation frameworks, and ensuring software reliability across platforms. The Senior SQA Engineer collaborates closely with development teams, contributes to continuous integration efforts, and drives quality improvements through deep expertise in testing tools, coding, and agile methodologies.

How you'll make an impact

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement robust test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, TestNG, or Cypress.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and backend systems.
• Perform deep functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure testability and quality in code.

About you

Qualifications:

• Any Graduate or Post Graduate with minimum 4-8 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.

Skills and Competencies:

• Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, HTML5, XML, SQL.
• API Testing: Postman, REST-assured, SoapUI.
• Performance Testing: JMeter, LoadRunner.
• Version Control: Git, GitHub, Bitbucket.
• Database: DB2, MySQL, Oracle – strong SQL query skills.
• Frameworks: TDD, BDD (Cucumber).
• Soft Skills: Analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, strong communication.
