We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both web and mobile application testing, technical architecture, and design. You will be responsible for executing tests, reporting defects, and collaborating closely with developers to ensure high product quality. Your role will also involve mentoring team members and contributing to process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Test Execution and Defects Reporting: Execute comprehensive test cases, report bugs, and work with developers to ensure timely fixes.
- Test Case Design: Create complete and thorough test cases from product requirement documents (PRDs) for both web and mobile platforms.
- Technical Understanding: Possess a strong understanding of the technical architecture of web and mobile products.
- Non-Functional Testing: Conduct non-functional testing (performance, reliability, resilience, security, and compliance) and identify issues like network failures or configuration mismatches.
- Exploratory Testing: Leverage strong exploratory testing skills to uncover hidden defects and edge cases.
- Test Coverage: Maintain good QA coverage of the product, including sanity tests and end-to-end testing.
- Test Design Methods: Utilize advanced test design methodologies such as Boundary Value Analysis and State Transition Diagrams to break features into their core components for testing.
Team Collaboration and Mentorship
- Team Process Improvements: Identify friction points in team processes and suggest effective improvements.
- Work Planning and Escalation: Commit to realistic workloads, and escalate blockers or delays to the team lead promptly.
- Collaboration with Developers: Work closely with developers to reproduce issues, understand bug fixes, and ensure critical issues are addressed.
- Mentorship: Provide one-on-one mentorship to junior QA engineers, helping them improve their technical and testing skills.

Tools and Technical Skills
- Automation and CI/CD: Proficient with tools like GIT, CI/CD pipelines, Xcode, ADB, and proxy tools.
- Performance Testing: Experience with JMeter or similar performance testing tools and generating reports.
- Logs and Debugging: Ability to read and analyze logs to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Scripting and Tool Creation: Capable of creating scripts or tools as necessary to support the testing process.
- Test Management Tools: Familiar with tools like TestRail or Zephyr for test management and reporting.
