Job summary

Ping Identity is seeking a Senior QA Engineer with strong API and UI automation skills to join our Bangalore team. You will own end-to-end testing, design scalable automation frameworks using Selenium and Java, and drive CI/CD integration in a fast-paced Agile environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product releases, mentor teammates, and advocate best practices in test design and execution across cloud-based testing and containerized environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
• 5–9 years of experience in Quality Assurance with a focus on automation.
• Proficiency in Go or Python programming.
• Experience in API testing and automation using REST Assured, Postman, or similar.
• Strong experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit or Serenity.
• 1–3 years hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
• Experience integrating automated tests in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Maven).
• Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with cloud-based testing (AWS, Azure) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineerwith strong hands-on experience in API and UI Automation usingSelenium, Java. This is a Full time position based in our Bangalore office.

Responsibilities – what you’ll do:

You will:

• Developcomprehensive end-to-end test plans, oversee their execution, and ensurethorough test coverage using effective strategies.
• Performtest automation across API, backend, and UI components,including thedesign and development of scalable, maintainable, and efficient automation frameworksand test scripts usingSelenium and Java.
• Write high-quality code, review both product and automation code changes, and lead byexample in applying coding standards and best practices.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of software engineering principles, including sourcecode control, unit testing, and CI/CD processes.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools likeJenkins, Git, and Maven.
• Work in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning,user story refinement, design discussions, QA documentation, and post-release support.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and product managers to understand requirements and define effective test strategies.
• Provide technical recommendations and testing solutions aligned with program goals.
• Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of operational and application issues.
• Implement preventive measures based on root cause findings and propose mitigationstrategies for identified project risks.
• Communicate test designs, test artifacts, and quality metrics clearly and effectively tostakeholders.
• Review and evaluate quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency.
• Ensure QA best practices are followed and mentor junior team members.
• Drive defect triage discussions and support continuous quality improvement across theteam.

You have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-9 yearsof experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on automation.
• Proficiency inGo or Python programming.
• Expertise inAPI testingandautomationusingREST Assured,Postman, or similar.
• Solid experience withtest frameworkssuch asTestNG,JUnitorSerenity.
• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience withSelenium WebDriverfor UI automation.
• Experience integrating automated tests inCI/CD pipelines(Jenkins, Git, Maven).
• In-depth understanding ofAgile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience withcloud-based testing(AWS, Azure).
• Exposure to containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Customer-facing skills to represent Ping Identity well within the customer's environmentand drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project
• management, and risk mitigation.
• Leading/Involved in the highly available and fault-tolerant enterprise.

You have an advantage if:

• Fundamental knowledge in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Familiarity with the following protocols: SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SCIM.
