Job summary

Glitterbug Technologies in Bangalore is seeking a sharp QA Engineer (4-8 Years Experience) to own quality across web, mobile, and backend APIs. You will balance manual testing with automation to strengthen our fintech/insurtech suite.

You will design end-to-end tests with Playwright, validate APIs with Python/Django and PostgreSQL, and collaborate in Agile sprints on AWS to ensure rapid, reliable releases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in both Manual and Automation testing.
• Proven experience building or maintaining web automation suites using Playwright.
• Strong understanding of web technologies (JavaScript/ReactJS) and mobile environments (Android - Java/Kotlin).
• Solid scripting knowledge (Python) to align with Django backend.
• Ability to write SQL queries to validate data in PostgreSQL.
• Comfort with basic AWS cloud concepts and test environments.
• Hybrid tester mindset balancing exploratory testing with automation for next sprint.

We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented QA Engineer (4-8 Years Experience) to join our engineering team in Bangalore. If you love breaking code to make it stronger, balance manual intuition with automated efficiency, and are excited about the fintech/insurtech space, we want to talk to you.

Your Role & Responsibilities

As a mid-level QA Engineer, you will own the quality of major product modules across our web apps, mobile apps, and deep backend APIs.

• End-to-End Testing: Own the functional, regression, and integration testing for web platforms (ReactJS) and Android mobile apps (Java/Kotlin).
• Automation Engineering: Design, write, and maintain robust end-to-end automation scripts using Playwright.
• API Validation: Extensively test backend , APIs and data workflows powered by Python/Django and PostgreSQL.
• Defect Lifecycle Management: Actively track, document, and prioritize bugs in collaboration with developers and product managers to ensure timely hotfixes and releases.
• Agile Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning, analyze requirements early to catch logical flaws, and ensure smooth deployments on our AWS environments.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in both Manual and Automation testing.
• Core Automation Tool: Proven experience building or maintaining web automation suites using Playwright.
• Tech Stack Familiarity:
  • Strong understanding of web technologies(JavaScript/ReactJS) and mobile environments (Android - Java/Kotlin).
  • Solid scripting knowledge (Python preferred) to align with our Django backend.
• Database & Cloud: Ability to write SQL queries to validate data integrity in PostgreSQL. Comfort with basic AWS cloud concepts (e.g., viewing logs, understanding test environments).
• Mindset: A hybrid tester who doesn't mind doing meticulous manual exploratory testing when a feature is fresh, but immediately thinks about how to automate it for the next sprint.

Nice-to-Haves / Bonus Points

• Prior experience in Fintech, Insurtech, or working with complex B2B payment/lending partner integrations.
• Experience setting up Playwright tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodeBuild).
• Familiarity with mobile app automation (Appium) alongside Playwright.
