Job Description
Xactly’s QE team is a rapidly growing, diversified group focused on cutting‑edge test automation tools and technologies. The team has 35+ members spread across San Jose, Denver and Bangalore (India). Engineers are encouraged to operate independently with high accountability, working closely with backend and frontend developers, product managers, and scrum teams to produce high‑quality code and products.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field; MS degree is a plus.
- 5–8 years of testing experience, able to develop test strategy, design test plans, and create test cases independently.
- Experience as a QE engineer in a Scrum environment where automated tests are part of the definition of done.
- Testing of enterprise business applications.
- Strong knowledge of current QA and test automation tools and processes – Jenkins, Selenium/WebDriver, JMeter, REST API.
- Hands‑on experience with REST API automation and GUI automation (e.g., Selenium).
- Experience testing J2EE‑based applications.
- Programming experience in Java.
- Strong SQL query knowledge.
- Experience in product‑based companies.
Preferred Skills (optional)
- Experience with CI/CD technologies – Jenkins, Maven, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Exposure to Hadoop stack testing.
- Experience with ETL/analytics modules.
Within One Month, You’ll
- Attend New Hire Training.
- Learn the Dev and QE processes.
- Participate in the scrum development process.
- Get to know your team.
Within Three Months, You’ll
- Learn Xactly’s SaaS technology stack.
- Gain complete domain and product knowledge.
- Take ownership of a module/project.
- Perform QE code reviews.
Within Six Months, You’ll
- Ensure best QE practices are in use.
- Work on multiple functionalities and own respective module automation.
- Perform root‑cause analysis on production escapes and implement corrective actions.
Within Twelve Months, You’ll
- Help grow other engineers by pairing and creating learning opportunities.
- Train new joiners and peers in automation.
- Continuously improve QE processes to maximize team effectiveness and efficiencies.
