Job summary
Talpro is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer in Bengaluru to drive automated testing across APIs, microservices, and event-driven workflows on a cloud-native platform. You will design and maintain scalable automation frameworks, validate data integrity, and ensure end-to-end quality for Quote-to-Cash and enterprise integrations.
The ideal candidate has 7+ years of QA experience, 4+ years in automation, and hands-on exposure to AWS, Kafka/MSK, CI/CD, and database testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7+ years in Software QA/QA Automation.
- 4+ years of automation development for enterprise apps and APIs.
- Experience with cloud-native, distributed systems and event-driven architectures is required.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for APIs, microservices, event-driven workflows, and cloud-native applications.
- Develop automated test suites covering functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and data validation testing.
- Implement QA practices to enable early defect detection and high-quality releases.
- Collaborate with DevOps to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and shift-left testing.

We are looking for a strong, hands‑on, and highly motivated Senior QA Automation Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of the Service Layer (SL-QTC) platform supporting Quote-to-Cash (QTC), customer lifecycle, and enterprise integration workloads.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks and quality engineering practices for a cloud-native, event-driven platform built on AWS, Kafka/MSK, APIs, databases, and distributed microservices.
The ideal candidate should have strong automation expertise along with hands‑on experience testing distributed systems, event-driven architectures, cloud-native applications, APIs, data flows, and complex enterprise integrations.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for APIs, microservices, event-driven workflows, and cloud-native applications.
- Build automated test suites covering:
- Functional testing
- Integration testing
- Regression testing
- End-to-end testing
- Data validation testing
- Develop quality engineering practices to support early defect detection and high-quality releases.
- Perform automated API testing, contract testing, service virtualization, and integration testing across enterprise applications and services.
- Validate REST APIs, asynchronous workflows, message queues, service integrations, and downstream system interactions.
- Ensure test coverage across complex Quote-to-Cash business processes and enterprise integration flows.
- Validate Kafka / AWS MSK event flows, message transformations, canonical data models, and event orchestration workflows.
- Test schema evolution, message contracts, topic-level behavior, error handling, retry logic, and downstream consumption.
- Ensure reliability of event-driven workflows across distributed services.
- Develop automated data validation and reconciliation tests across:
- PostgreSQL
- ClickHouse
- DynamoDB
- Other platform data stores
- Validate database transactions, data transformations, data consistency, and reconciliation outputs.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for testing, troubleshooting, and verification.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with Engineering and DevOps teams to enable continuous testing, quality gates, and shift-left practices.
- Contribute to release readiness criteria and quality metrics.
- Perform performance, load, reliability, resiliency, and scalability testing for distributed systems.
- Use tools such as JMeter, K6, Gatling, or equivalent solutions.
- Identify bottlenecks and support engineering teams in improving platform performance and reliability.
- Analyze defects, troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive quality improvements.
- Create test reports, dashboards, and quality metrics using tools such as Allure, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, ClickHouse, or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve test coverage, automation frameworks, and release processes.
- Strong experience designing and developing test automation frameworks using one or more of the following:

- Strong experience testing cloud-native, distributed, and event-driven systems in production-scale environments.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments with cross-functional engineering teams.
