Strong Python automation and networking fundamentals are essential, along with customer-facing collaboration and guidance to a small QA team. You will drive end-to-end quality across Cable Modems, Gateways, and related features, perform network and performance validation, and assist in release

Qualifications

• Approximately 8 years of experience in QA / Test Engineering.
• Strong experience in Broadband, Cable Modem, or Gateway testing.
• Hands‑on Python programming experience for automation or test utilities.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, routing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for Cable Modems, Gateways, and Broadband systems.
• Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts for functional, regression, and network validation testing.
• Perform testing of gateway features including LAN/WAN, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, DNS, NAT, routing, and Wi‑Fi performance.
• Execute network, performance, and stability testing using tools such as Iperf, traffic generators, and packet analyzers.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues using Wireshark, tcpdump, SNMP, logs, and CLI tools.
• Validate firmware upgrades, new feature releases, and defect fixes; ensure complete regression coverage for every build.
• Lead or mentor a small QA team (3–4 engineers) and review test cases and execution results.
• Participate in customer calls, defect triage meetings, and release discussions, providing clear quality status.
• Support Hypercare and production issues, including issue reproduction, root‑cause analysis, and fix validation.
