Job summary

CodeIgniter India is seeking a detail-oriented Senior QA Associate with a focus on Marketing Technology, Email Marketing, and Marketing Automation. You will design and execute tests for campaigns, segmentation, and automation journeys to ensure accurate rendering and data integrity.

The role requires hands-on testing of Email/SMS/Push campaigns, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and contribution to QA process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of QA experience in Email Marketing or Marketing Automation.
• Hands-on testing of campaigns, audiences, journeys, and dynamic content.
• Experience with SFMC or Braze is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans and test cases for email campaigns, personalization, dynamic content, tracking, and rendering.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and non-functional testing.
• Validate audience segmentation, targeting rules, triggers, campaign automation, and journey flows.
• Test Email/SMS/Push Notification campaigns across devices and email clients.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as JIRA.
• Collaborate with developers, campaign managers, designers, and business stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Participate in requirement reviews and identify potential quality risks.
• Contribute to QA documentation, checklists, process improvements, and test automation initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–6 years of QA experience, preferably in Email Marketing or Marketing Automation.
• Experience with SFMC, Braze, Eloqua, or similar platforms.
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for email testing and responsive rendering.
• Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman.
• Strong knowledge of SQL queries for data validation and campaign testing.
• Experience reviewing email designs/layouts using Figma or similar tools.
• Understanding of campaign testing, segmentation, targeting, journeys, and automation workflows.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and JIRA/Smartsheet.
