Job summary

Tekskills Inc. is seeking a Senior Python Developer with 8+ years of backend experience to join our team in India (Bangalore/Gurgaon). You will design, develop, and scale RESTful APIs using FastAPI and modern Python tooling, focusing on performance, reliability, and clean code.

You will work with cross-functional teams on architecture, testing, and cloud deployments (Docker/Kubernetes/AWS), ensuring robust, observable systems and high quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend Python development experience.
• Strong experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, and modern Python typing.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and API gateway patterns.
• Familiarity with testing, observability, and performance optimization.

Senior Python Developer

Experience: 8+ Years

Bangalore / Gurgaon

Skillset:

• Core Python & Backend
  • Advanced Python (including async/await, concurrency, and performance considerations)
  • Asynchronous programming (asyncio, async frameworks)
  • Strong experience with FastAPI, Pydantic, and modern Python typing
  • Data processing experience using Polars (or similar columnar data frameworks)
  • API design (RESTful APIs; familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger)
• Architecture & Design
  • Test-Driven Development (TDD) and strong testing practices
  • Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
  • Event-driven architecture
  • Solid understanding of SOLID principles, GRASP, DRY, and Clean Code
  • Experience applying common design patterns appropriately
  • Ability to reason about trade-offs in low-level design
• Quality, Reliability & Operations
  • Strong unit, integration, and contract testing practices (e.g., pytest)
  • Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability (metrics, tracing)
