Job summary

Job Search is urgently seeking a Senior Purchase Manager in Mumbai to drive end-to-end procurement, sourcing and supplier relations for GI wire products. The role requires 7–8 years in Purchase/Procurement with strong negotiation and ERP/Excel expertise.

Location will be Mulund West initially for 1–2 months, then Lower Parel. The position offers monthly pay in the ₹55,000–₹60,000 range and requires multi-department coordination and cost-saving focus.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial/Production) or related field.
• Experience in Purchase/Procurement or Supply Chain Management.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement and purchasing activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial agreements.
• Source raw materials, consumables, engineering items, spare parts and other materials.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to support production and operations.
• Coordinate supply chain for timely and cost-effective material availability.
• Monitor supplier lead times, logistics, inventory levels and risks.
• Prepare POs and maintain procurement documentation.
• Conduct vendor evaluation and supplier development.
• Analyze market trends and material prices.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement purchasing strategies.
• Coordinate with internal departments including Production, Stores, Finance, Maintenance.

Designation - Senior Purchase Manager

Location: Lower Parel Mumbai (For the next 1–2 months, the location will be Mulund West. After that, the office will be shifted to Lower Parel.)

Experience: 7–8 Years

Salary- 55,000–60,000 per Month

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Educational Background: Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or related engineering discipline preferred).
• Experience: 7–8 years of relevant experience in Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management.
• Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management, including sourcing, procurement, inventory planning, logistics, and vendor management.
• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering industry will be preferred.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Good knowledge of procurement processes, purchase documentation, and inventory management.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective purchasing strategies.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, Finance, Maintenance, and other internal departments.
• Ensure optimum inventory levels and avoid material shortages or excess stock.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
• Prepare purchase reports, MIS, and cost analysis for management.
