Archerchem Healthcare in Mumbai Suburban seeks a Senior Purchase Executive to drive procurement of APIs, raw materials, excipients, and packaging while optimizing costs and ensuring GMP compliance.

The role involves building supplier networks, negotiating terms, generating POs, and collaborating with Production, QA/QC, Warehouse, and Finance to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement or purchase.
• Strong knowledge of pharma raw materials, APIs, excipients, and packaging materials.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimization and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure APIs, raw materials, excipients, and packaging materials as per production requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable domestic and international suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and contracts to achieve the best commercial value.
• Generate Purchase Orders (POs), monitor order status, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Collaborate closely with Production, QA, QC, Warehouse, and Finance teams for procurement operations.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and excess inventory.
• Ensure all purchases comply with GMP, quality standards, SOPs, GST, and regulatory requirements.
• Support vendor qualification, performance evaluation, and audit activities.
• Explore alternate suppliers and monitor market trends to improve sourcing efficiency and reduce costs.
• Prepare procurement reports, supplier performance analyses, and cost-saving initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• 3 - 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement or purchase.
• Strong knowledge of pharma raw materials, APIs, excipients, and packaging materials.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Good understanding of GMP guidelines and pharmaceutical procurement practices.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimization and process improvement.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.

Preferred Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Science, Chemistry, Commerce, or a related field.
• Additional qualifications in Supply Chain or Materials Management will be an advantage.
