Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking a Senior Protection Engineer with a strong background in protection principles, relay coordination, and substation automation to work on HV/EHV projects in the KSA region and beyond. This role requires 5+ years of relevant experience to design and specify protection, metering, control and monitoring systems in accordance with TES standards.

Job description

The Senior Protection Engineer requires strong background in protection principles, relay coordination, substation automation, and with 5+ years of relevant experience with TAQA and SE HV & EHV substation projects. The responsibilities include preparation of Control, Protection, Metering, Automation and Monitoring systems design drawings and calculation reports in accordance with TES-P-107, TES-P-108 & TES-P-119. The role requires technical support and guidance to junior engineers.

Coordinate and deliver substation protection, metering and automation system designs in compliance with SEC, NG and other relevant authority standards and approval processes. Prepare and contribute to technical reports, specifications, tender documents, and proposals for substation and distribution projects. Provide technical guidance and leadership, support knowledge sharing within the team, and maintain strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
