Job Title: Project Head – Infrastructure Execution

Department: Infrastructure

Reporting To: Plant Head or Business Head

Role Overview:

The Project Head – Infrastructure Execution will be responsible for leading and managing infrastructure projects of stainless steel bridges, buildings, and structures. This role will drive end-to-end project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards while establishing robust processes for efficiency and effectiveness. The role also involves team leadership, stakeholder coordination, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Execution:
   • Develop and implement project management frameworks covering project selection, planning, execution, monitoring, and control.
   • Ensure alignment of project flow rates, balancing new project initiation with timely project closures.
   • Establish and drive structured processes and cadences for seamless project execution.
2. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
   • Build and lead a team of 2-3 Project Managers, ensuring effective delegation and accountability.
   • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, business teams, and external stakeholders (contractors, vendors, and clients).
   • Present project updates to senior management, providing clarity on project health, financials, risks, and action plans.
3. Process Compliance & Operational Excellence:
   • Ensure compliance with established processes while creating new frameworks to improve efficiency.
   • Conduct disciplined project reviews at appropriate intervals to validate schedule, budget, quality, and scope adherence.
   • Drive continuous improvement by identifying bottlenecks and implementing corrective measures.
4. Fabrication & Quality Management:
   • Oversee the entire project from initiation to final product delivery to financial & administrative closure.
   • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
   • Implement quality control measures, conduct audits, and resolve technical challenges proactively.
5. Financial & Risk Management:
   • Ensure project execution aligns with budgetary constraints.
   • Identify and mitigate project risks through structured risk management approaches.
6. Compliance:
   • Ensure all project activities comply with legal, regulatory, and quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: BE/BTech/MTech in Structural, Mechanical, Production, Civil, or Metallurgy Engineering from a reputed institute.
• Certifications: PMP (PMI) certification is highly desirable; MBA would be an added advantage.
• Experience: 12-18 years in project management within Structural Steel Fabrication, EPC, PEB, Steel Bridges & Buildings, or Infrastructure-related industries.
• Project & Program Management: Expertise in project planning, execution, and monitoring.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication, engineering drawings (AutoCAD), and industry standards.
• Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead and mentor a high-performing project management team.
• Financial & Business Acumen: Understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial planning.
• Problem-Solving & Decision Making: Structured problem-solving approach with attention to detail.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for internal and external collaboration.
• Tech Savvy: High proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), project management tools, and ability to interpret technical drawings.
