Job summary

Recruit CRM is seeking a Senior Programmer for CNC/VMC/Sliding Head/TMC production engineering to lead programming, tooling development and process optimization on Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Brother controls.

You will own machine feasibility, NPD programming, fixture development and maintenance, while driving cycle-time reduction and cost improvements across the plant. Strong leadership and GD&T skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–15 years in machining/manufacturing, preferably brass or precision metal components
• Strong hands-on CNC programming with G-code and CAM
• Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Brother controls
• Hands-on with CNC, VMC, Sliding Head and TMC machines
• Strong reading of engineering drawings and GD&T
• Experience in NPD, tooling/fixture development and process engineering
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and machine troubleshooting
• Exposure to poka-yoke, lean manufacturing and cost reduction
• Leadership and team management under production pressure
• Excellent communication and cross-department coordination

Responsibilities

Job Title: Senior Programmer – CNC / VMC / Sliding Head / TMC (Production Engineering)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Programmer to lead CNC programming and the full technical function of the plant. Reporting to the Plant Head, you will own machine feasibility, NPD programming, tooling and fixture development, machine maintenance, cycle time and cost improvement, and the technical team, so that production runs smoothly and without interruption.

Programming & NPD

• Write, modify and optimize programs for CNC, VMC, Sliding Head and TMC machines on Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Brother controllers
• Develop and run initial programs for NPD sample components from drawings, models and customer requirements
• Evaluate machine feasibility for NPD samples and running production items
• Optimize tool paths, cycle times and machine parameters to meet costing targets and improve CPC (cost per component)
• Troubleshoot program issues and support operators during setup and first-piece runs

Tooling, Fixtures & Maintenance

• Handle initial tooling selection, tooling development, fixture design and fixture manufacturing
• Ensure preventive and regular maintenance of all production machines as per schedule
• Maintain machine uptime and provide technical support to prevent stoppages
• Monitor machine setting activities against defined setup time targets

Process Improvement & Cost

• Implement poka-yoke systems to reduce rejection, rework and process errors
• Drive continuous cost saving and process optimization initiatives
• Support production in productivity and quality improvement projects
• Lead the technical team with proper work allocation and daily work management
• Train and guide operators, setters and programmers on technical standards and best practices
• Coordinate with Quality, Production, Maintenance and Planning departments
• Maintain records of programs, revisions, process parameters, tooling and machine standards
• Ensure safe working practices and compliance with company procedures

Desired Candidate Profile

• 3–15 years in machining / manufacturing, preferably in brass or precision metal components

• Working knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi and Brother control systems
• Hands-on experience with CNC, VMC, Sliding Head and TMC machines

• Proven experience in NPD, tooling, fixture development and process engineering
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and machine troubleshooting
• Exposure to poka-yoke, lean manufacturing and cost reduction techniques
• Strong leadership, decision-making and team management under production pressure
• Good communication and cross-department coordination skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop floor environment with high attention to detail
• Salary will be 4lpa to 15lpa.
