Job summary

TDW is seeking a Materials Scheduling professional to coordinate and manage manufacturing planning, ensuring on-time delivery by aligning raw materials, capacity and production lines with customer demands using MRP and resource leveling.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Logistics, Production and Customer Service to balance demand and supply, reschedule as needed, and ensure materials are received and kit within the schedule.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing and inventory scheduling experience.
• Knowledge of Production Planning processes.
• Experience with MRP and ERP systems.
• Proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plans and controls all scheduling activities supporting manufactured items and ensures customer demand is met on schedule using MRP and Resource Levelling methodologies.
• Manages product lines to ensure alignment of raw materials and production capabilities.
• Reschedules existing demand to accommodate new demand and changes through the manufacturing process.
• Assists in ensuring materials are received and kitted within the constraints dictated by the Manufacturing schedule.
• Communicates demands, including schedules, part availability, resources, etc., to manufacturing and updates production planners.

Overview

Responsible for coordinating and scheduling materials and resources as they contribute to the function of internal and external manufacturing, to ensure that customer deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Plans and controls all scheduling activities supporting manufactured items, as well as ensures customer demand is met on schedule using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and Resource Levelling methodologies.
• Manages product lines to ensure alignment of raw materials and production capabilities.
• Reschedules existing demand to accommodate new demand and changes through the manufacturing process.
• Assists in ensuring that materials are received and kitted within the constraints dictated by the Manufacturing schedule.
• Communicates demands, including schedules, part availability, available resources, etc. to manufacturing and communicates schedule updates to appropriate production planners.
• Collaborates with the Engineering, Procurement/Logistics, Production, Customer Service and other related departments to ensure product meets all customer demand requirements.
• Works with Procurement and Supplier Engineering to determine best practices for manufacturing methods and outsourcing options, if and when necessary, to support product design or customer demand.
• Plans demand in accordance with client or Field Service Operations requirements and works to ensure demand is met through the entire order lifecycle.
