Job summary

Weatherford seeks a Production Planning Specialist to lead scheduling, material availability, and coordination across Production, Procurement and Supply Chain teams in a manufacturing setup. The role focuses on timely orders and maximizing efficiency.

You will manage work orders, inventory planning, and production schedules, collaborating across Workshop and Machine Shop to meet operational demands and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in Production Planning or Manufacturing Planning.
• Experience working in MRP-driven manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably JDE.
• Knowledge of inventory control, production scheduling, and capacity planning.
• Strong coordination experience with Production, Procurement, and Supply Chain functions.
• Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience in Oil & Gas manufacturing or industrial manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage production schedules based on customer demand and manufacturing capacity.
• Release and monitor work orders through ERP/JDE systems.
• Coordinate with Production, Workshop, Buyers, and Supply Chain teams for smooth execution of manufacturing plans.
• Monitor material availability and support inventory optimization initiatives.

• Ensure effective capacity planning and plant loading.
• Track order status and proactively resolve production bottlenecks.
• Support MRP activities and ensure timely procurement of materials.
• Drive On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance and schedule adherence.
• Maintain planning reports, forecasting data, and inventory records.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
