Job summary

Airtel in India is seeking a senior product leader to own the Save portfolio—savings accounts, deposits and adjacent banking propositions—defining the proposition, benefits and roadmap grounded in customer insight and competitive benchmarking.

Job description

• Lead the Save portfolio of products: savings accounts, deposits and adjacent banking propositions.
• Define the proposition, benefits construct and roadmap, grounded in customer insight and competitive benchmarking.
• Build best-in-class digital journeys for account opening, funding, servicing and balance management.
• Improve conversion step by step across the funnel, and reduce drop-offs with evidence.
• Keep the proposition competitive against leading banks and neobanks, and know precisely where we win and where we do not.

Working with Airtel Payments Bank

• Partner with Airtel Payments Bank’s product, risk, compliance and engineering teams to shape and launch products together.
• Work through regulated steps such as KYC jointly, so journeys stay compliant and remain simple for the customer.
• Manage API, data and delivery dependencies actively, and escalte early when timelines are at risk.
• Build the working relationship itself: trust, cadence and a shared view of priorities across two organisations.
• Lead a cross-functional POD spanning design, engineering, analytics and marketing.
• Set clear POD goals and metrics, run the operating cadence, and hold the team to predictable delivery.
• Write sharp product requirements and make prioritisation calls that the whole POD understands.

Performance and Growth

• Work with the growth team for the Save scorecard: new accounts, activation, balances, retention and cross-sell into the wider portfolio.
• Partner with growth and marketing to drive acquisition across the app and assisted channels.
• Use AI-assisted tools to sharpen research, analysis and product decisions.

Required Skills and Experience

• 6+ years of overall experience, including at least 3 years building consumer digital products.
• Has launched and scaled a consumer financial product end to end
• Prior experience with savings, deposits or liabilities products at a bank, payments bank or neobank.
• Understanding of KYC, account opening regulations and payments-bank constraints.
• Experience with assisted and offline acquisition channels.
• Comfortable working within regulatory constraints, and able to design simple journeys despite them.
• Strong data skills - fluent with funnels, cohorts and experimentation.
• Clear written and verbal communication, and comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
