Job summary

Henkel Jebel Ali FZCO in Navi Mumbai seeks a seasoned Manager – Production to lead and optimize manufacturing operations, driving safe, cost-effective output while meeting quality and customer commitments.

You will oversee manpower, equipment, and materials, implement continuous improvement, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and EHS teams to maximize OEE and productivity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in chemical, adhesives, specialty chemicals, paints, petrochemical or process manufacturing.
• Should be a B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
• Strong experience in production management and manufacturing leadership.
• Deep understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and process safety.
• GMP, Lean Manufacturing, CI, TPM, and Operational Excellence knowledge.
• Proven ability to lead and develop production teams and manage manpower.
• Experience in productivity improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Experience in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain and EHS.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• A data-driven approach to monitoring KPIs like OEE, productivity, yield, safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations and ensure achievement of production plans and delivery commitments.
• Manage manpower, equipment, utilities, and raw materials for productivity.
• Monitor production performance and take corrective actions to hit targets.
• Ensure safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive safety culture and lead EHS initiatives and risk assessments.
• Maintain compliance with ISO, GMP and other manufacturing standards.
• Improve productivity, reduce costs, waste and downtime.
• Optimize OEE, yield and resource utilization.
• Lead, coach and develop production teams, supervisors and operators.
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering for equipment reliability.
• Support preventive maintenance, shutdowns and new equipment commissioning.
• Drive Lean, CI, TPM, 5S and Kaizen initiatives.
• Monitor KPIs: production output, productivity, quality, safety, costs.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, EHS and R&D for smooth operations.
• Prepare operational reviews and improvement action plans for plant leadership.

The Manager – Production position is responsible for leading and managing all manufacturing operations at the plant to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while meeting quality standards, customer requirements, and business objectives. The role focuses on maximizing productivity through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, raw materials, and utilities.

What you’ll do
