This role is for one of the Weekday's clients.

Salary range: Rs 100000 - Rs 4000000 (ie INR 1-40 LPA).

Min Experience: 4 years.

Location: Mumbai.

Job Type: full-time.

We are looking for a highly analytical and product-driven professional to build and lead the Product Analytics function from the ground up across a multi-product ecosystem. This is a zero-to-one opportunity where you will define how products are measured, how data is captured, and how analytics drives decision‑making across the organization.

In this role, you will work closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to establish a strong analytics foundation that powers user engagement, retention, and monetization. You will be responsible for designing measurement frameworks, building scalable analytics infrastructure, and enabling teams to make data-driven product decisions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating systems from scratch rather than inheriting existing dashboards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement measurement frameworks across multiple product lines
  • Identify key metrics for activation, engagement, retention, monetization, and feature adoption
  • Build event tracking architecture, user identification systems, and funnel instrumentation
  • Establish data governance standards, taxonomy, and naming conventions
  • Select and implement the product analytics stack including CDP, data warehouse, and BI tools
  • Develop scalable data models to support analytics and reporting needs
  • Partner with Product Managers to define success metrics and track product performance
  • Build self‑serve dashboards and reporting systems for stakeholders and leadership
  • Generate proactive insights, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for product improvement
  • Translate business questions into structured data analysis and actionable recommendationsDrive a data‑first culture by enabling teams to use analytics effectively in decision-making
  • Contribute to scaling the analytics function, including processes and future team building
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • 4+ years of experience in Product Analytics, Growth Analytics, or Data Analytics
  • Proven experience in building or transforming analytics functions and measurement systems
  • Strong hands‑on expertise with analytics tools such as Segment, Amplitude, or Mixpanel
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience working with modern data stacks (e.g., dbt, BigQuery, Snowflake, Looker)
  • Deep understanding of event tracking, user behavior analysis, funnels, and cohort analysis
  • Strong product thinking with the ability to link business goals to data insights
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and building structured solutions from scratch
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills
  • Experience in consumer tech, SaaS, media, gaming, or digital platforms is a plus
  • Exposure to personalization, recommendation systems, or predictive analytics is an added advantage
