Position Overview

The company is building its product analytics function from the ground up, and this role sits at the center of that effort. You will own the instrumentation layer — defining events, setting up data pipelines, and integrating platforms like PostHog — while directly enabling product, sales, and operations teams to understand funnel performance and identify drop-off points. This is a high-ownership, zero-to-one role at a seed-stage startup where your output directly shapes product decisions.

Role & Responsibilities

• Implement and own the product analytics function end-to-end, from instrumentation strategy to reporting.
• Integrate and configure analytics platforms (starting with PostHog) into the product, defining events, properties, and user flows.
• Set up and maintain data pipelines to ensure clean, reliable data flows from product to analytics layer.
• Define and standardize event taxonomies and property types across the platform.
• Partner with product, sales, and operations teams to build funnel analyses, identify drop-off points, and surface actionable insights.
• Build dashboards and self-serve reporting to reduce ad hoc data requests across teams.
• Translate business questions into analytical frameworks and communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Must Have Criteria

• 1+ years of experience in product analytics, data analytics, or a closely related role.
• Strong SQL proficiency — comfortable writing complex queries for funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and data exploration.
• Hands-on experience with at least one product analytics platform: PostHog, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Google Analytics.
• Demonstrated ability to define events and properties for analytics instrumentation in a digital product.
• Experience or coursework in setting up or working with data pipelines.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in the travel, hospitality, or accommodation domain.
• Experience integrating analytics tools in a SaaS or e-commerce product environment.
• Background in product management or a product-adjacent role.
• Familiarity with event taxonomy design and property standardization across multi-sided platforms.
