Job summary

Pitambra Books is seeking a seasoned production leader to oversee end-to-end print production. You will head plant operations, schedule presses, manage shifts, and ensure on-time dispatch while maintaining quality standards.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience with web offset presses and strong leadership of large, multi-shift teams to deliver high-volume educational/textbook printing to export standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in web offset printing.
• 45 years as Plant Head / Senior Production Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant operations press scheduling, shift management, output targets, and dispatch
• Lead and manage a multi-shift team of operators, supervisors, and support staff
• Drive press efficiency: OEE, makeready times, waste ratios, and spoilage control
• Enforce quality standards across pre-press (CTP), press, and post-press / finishing
• Manage paper, ink, and consumables inventory
• Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of all presses
• Report plant MIS directly to the MD /Senior Management

Preferred candidate profile

• 10+ years in web offset printing; 45 years as Plant Head / Senior Production Manager
• Hands-on experience on web offset presses Manugraph, Komori, or equivalent
• Proven ability to run high-volume educational / textbook printing to export standards
• Strong team leadership; comfortable managing large, multi-shift shop floor teams
• Diploma / B.Tech in Printing Technology preferred
