Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer - Data Engineer to join the Risk Consulting team in Pune. This hybrid role requires at least three days in the office weekly and will contribute to AI/ML-driven risk analytics for commercial insurance.

You will build data pipelines, deploy APIs, and develop models to propel client outcomes. The role emphasizes technical excellence in Python, PySpark, SQL, and Databricks, along with strong communication to liaise with senior colleagues and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, AI research or similar fields.
• Ability to develop strong internal/external client-oriented solutions.
• Superior detail orientation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on expertise in Python, PySpark and SQL.
• Expertise in writing complex SQL queries.
• Understanding risk modelling and inferential statistics.
• Knowledge of insurance contracts and risk business is a plus.

This position is for an individual contributor in Data Engineer team at Marsh UK Analytics solutions who will develop and implement leading-edge techniques in artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive modeling, and natural language processing as applied in commercial insurance and risk management.
