Roles and Responsibility:

We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer who can design, develop, and deliver scalablebusiness intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate will have strong expertisein Power BI, DAX, SQL, data modeling, and BI architecture, along with the ability to translate complexbusiness requirements into meaningful, actionable insights.

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive and executive-level Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Translate business requirements into effective BI solutions and reporting frameworks.
• Develop robust semantic/data models using Power BI, including Star Schema and dimensional modeling concepts.
• Write and optimize complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and calculated tables.
• Develop efficient SQL queries and work with relational databases and other data sources.
• Perform Power BI report and dataset performance optimization, including DAX optimization, model optimization, and query performance analysis.
• Work with Power BI Service, including workspaces, apps, datasets, refresh schedules, gateways, deployment pipelines, and sharing.
• Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) and appropriate access controls.
• Build and maintain data refresh and reporting solutions while ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and other technical teams to understand data pipelines, ETL processes, and source systems.
• Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks before report deployment.
• Participate in solution design, technical discussions, code/review processes, and BI architecture decisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to reports, datasets, refreshes, gateways, and performance.
• Maintain technical documentation for datasets, reports, data models, and BI solutions.
• Mentor junior Power BI developers and provide technical guidance and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Fabric capabilities and evaluate their applicability to business requirements.

Skill Requirement:

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics / Power BI development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Power BI.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX and Power BI data modeling.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Good understanding of Star Schema, dimensional modeling, fact and dimension tables, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Power BI Service, including: Workspaces, Dataflows / semantic models, Scheduled refresh, Gateways, Deployment pipelines, Row-Level Security, Power BI Apps.
• Strong understanding of Power Query / M language.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports and semantic models.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration.
• Ability to analyze large datasets and build scalable reporting solutions.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders and gathering requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have:

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or other modern data platforms.
• Knowledge of Power BI REST APIs, XMLA endpoints, Tabular Editor, DAX Studio, or similar BI development/optimization tools.
• Exposure to CI/CD and version control practices for BI solutions.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
