Description -

Job Summary

HP is seeking a Senior PLM COE Product Owner to join the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Center of Excellence within Supply Chain Transformation. This role owns and evolves enterprise PLM capabilities that directly enable supply chain performance, scalability, compliance, and risk reduction across HP’s global product portfolio.

The role independently drives complex, cross‑functional initiatives within SAP S/4HANA (MS4), partnering across business, IT, and enterprise architecture to deliver business‑relevant, scalable solutions that support long‑term supply chain strategy and operational execution.

This is a senior individual contributor position for a leader who operates with a high level of autonomy, leads through influence, and provides clear recommendations, trade‑offs, and decisions across the full lifecycle—from strategic intake and prioritization through release, adoption, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own one or more enterprise PLM capabilities end to end , from strategic intake and prioritization through delivery, release, adoption, and continuous optimization, ensuring solutions support supply chain effectiveness, product readiness, and business continuity
  • Serve as the business owner and solution authority for assigned PLM domains, with accountability for direction, decisions, outcomes, and measurable business value
  • Translate supply chain, engineering, and business priorities into actionable solution direction , aligning enterprise architecture, governance requirements, and PLM COE strategy
  • Lead requirement shaping, user story clarification, and acceptance criteria definition, ensuring scope clarity, data integrity, and optimized supply chain outcomes , with business benefits clearly documented
  • Develop and drive key design decisions and trade‑off recommendations , securing approvals through governance forums including Product Data Governance and the Architecture Review Board (ARB)
  • Ensure funding readiness, prioritization alignment, and organizational preparedness prior to release commitment
  • Own delivery outcomes in partnership with PLM IT through a 2‑in‑a‑Box model , proactively identifying risks, managing dependencies, and driving resolution with a clear, fact‑based point of view
  • Define and execute UAT strategy and sign‑off , ensuring SOX compliance, audit readiness, and controlled risk mitigation for production releases
  • Lead release readiness, cutover planning, hypercare, and post‑release continuous improvement, ensuring adoption and sustained supply chain and operational impact
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders , clearly communicating scope, progress, risks, dependencies, and recommendations, and representing the domain with credibility across regions and functions
  • Drive cross‑functional decisions to closure in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments, maintaining momentum while balancing business risk, value, and technical constraints
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in PLM, ERP, and supply‑chain‑integrated systems , preferably in complex, global enterprise environments
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred, or comparable enterprise platforms
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, strategic initiatives in matrixed organizations
  • Familiarity with Agile or user‑story‑based delivery models
Knowledge and Skills
  • Deep knowledge of PLM concepts, including BOM structures, product master data, and lifecycle governance
  • Strong understanding of how product data, PLM governance, and system decisions impact supply chain performance and business risk
  • Experience operating in compliance‑driven and audit‑controlled environments
  • Familiarity with system integrations, data flows, and cross‑platform dependencies
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and ambiguity into clear recommendations and executive‑ready guidance
