Job summary

Boston Scientific in India seeks an Engineer on the Digital Health Platform team to develop innovative healthcare software solutions and enable teams to build high-quality, maintainable services.

You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to design, implement, and secure cloud infrastructure and APIs, embracing agile practices and healthcare compliance. Experience with Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD and microservices is essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years IT experience.
• Experience with installation & configuration of Kubernetes.
• Experience with IT infrastructure security and Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM Templates.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines: Concourse, GitLab, BitBucket, Jenkins, etc.
• Awareness of IT cybersecurity best practices.
• Familiarity with Linux, Deployment Operators, Helm.
• Minimum of 5 years with IaaS offerings: AWS, Azure, Google.
• Minimum of 2 years Solutioning, Designing, and implementing applications/APIs.
• Experience in large-scale distributed software design and development; microservices, containerization, monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineers on solution design.
• Implement defined solution design, including cloud infrastructure and provisioning.
• Ensure platform security and follow compliance processes.
• Implement new features based on customer requests.
• Research and implement new capabilities to improve efficiencies, customer experience, and platform offerings.
• Assist internal platform users with problem resolution.

Your responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other engineers to assist on solution design

Basic Qualifications

What we’re looking for

• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 10 years IT experience
• Experience with installation & configuration of Kubernetes
• Experience with IT infrastructure security and Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM Templates
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines: Concourse, GitLab, BitBucket, Jenkins, etc.
• Awareness of IT cybersecurity best practices
• Familiarity with: Linux, Deployment Operators, Helm
• Minimum of 5 years with IaaS offerings: AWS, Azure, Google
• Minimum of 2 years Solutioning, Designing, and implementing applications/APIs
• Experience in:
  • Large-scale distributed software design and development experience
  • Utilization of Elastic Runtime Environments, accessing and troubleshooting and
  • solutions recommendations
  • One or more of the following languages: Spring-Java, Go, NodeJS, .net, and Python
  • Migration from Monolithic application development to micro-services
  • Containerization and 12 factor app delivery
  • Alerting, Logging and Monitoring solution configuration

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to present ideas to an audience with a broad range of experience
• Ability to lead and educate/train others
• Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices
• Experience developing software within a regulated environment in the medical industry
• Familiarity with common healthcare systems integrations and regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with relational and non-SQL, Event Driven Architectures/messaging and process orchestration
